We have had a wonderful day at St Sebastian’s supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, and it has been lovely to see so many members of our school community getting involved.

We began the morning by welcoming parents, carers, grandparents and friends into our school hall for a cup of tea or coffee and, of course, plenty of delicious cakes! It was lovely to have the opportunity to welcome our families into school, spend time together and raise money for such an important cause.

Next, it was our children’s turn! At break time, children were able to buy a cake or biscuit, with a little help from our wonderful Faith Friends and School Council, who did a fantastic job helping everything run smoothly.

Our staff didn’t miss out either! We held a special Macmillan morning in the staffroom, giving our hardworking team the chance to enjoy a well-deserved cuppa and a slice of cake together.

We finished the day at the school gates, selling our remaining cakes to families at home-time and making sure that very little went to waste!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated cakes and biscuits, joined us for coffee, bought a cake or helped throughout the day. Your generosity and support made the day such a success.

A special thank you must also go to Ms Mello, who led the organisation of our Macmillan Coffee Morning, supported by our fantastic PTFA, Faith Friends and our House Captains.

It was a lovely example of our St Sebastian’s community coming together to love and serve others while raising money for a cause that makes such a difference to so many families.

In total, we raised £181.30! Thank you for helping us make a difference!
