NSPCC Number Day : 06.02.2026

“Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.” Albert Einstein
Today our school community came together to celebrate NSPCC Number Day, the NSPCC’s nationwide maths fundraising event. Each year, thousands of schools and nurseries across the UK take part, raising vital funds while promoting a love of maths through creative and engaging activities.
Our children certainly rose to the occasion. From imaginative number themed costumes to fantastic TTRockstars outfits, the effort and enthusiasm on display were truly impressive. The corridors were filled with colour, creativity and plenty of mathematical flair.
We were also delighted to welcome so many families to our special Maths Breakfast this morning. It was wonderful to see parents and children enjoying number challenges and board games together, sharing laughter and learning as they started the day. Events like these beautifully reflect our strong sense of community and shared commitment to learning.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a wide range of activities designed to celebrate numbers and develop confidence in maths. From problem-solving games to collaborative challenges, there was a real buzz of excitement as children explored and applied their mathematical skills.
As we celebrated the joy of numbers and learning together, we were reminded of the words from Proverbs 2:6 "The Lord gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding."
Thank you to all our families for your generous donations in support of the NSPCC. We will share the final total raised on Monday, with all funds going directly to support the NSPCC’s vital work in helping to keep children safe.
A special thank you to Ms Kaur for organising such a successful and enjoyable event for our school community. Your hard work ensured a day filled with learning, laughter and lasting memories.
