Federation
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
In April 2006, St Sebastian’s Catholic Primary School & Nursery, St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School & Nursery, and Field of Dreams Day Nursery became one of the first ‘hard’ federations of schools in the country. Each school setting retains its own identity and leadership, with individual Head Teachers and a shared federation Governing Body providing strategic oversight. Importantly, all three settings are inspected individually, ensuring that their unique strengths and achievements are recognised.
While maintaining their distinct character, the schools are united in their commitment to Catholic education and values. Sustained cooperation through the federation strengthens both communities and supports the spiritual, moral, and educational development of all children, reflecting the Spirit of Jesus Christ in every aspect of school life.

Field of Dreams Day Nursery is located within the grounds of St. Sebastian’s Primary School.
It was established in 2004 by the Governing Body of St. Sebastian’s Primary School under Section 27 of the 2002 Education Act and as part of the Neighbourhood Nurseries Initiative. It is a ‘not for profit’ community nursery situated in Kensington, L7, one of the most economically and socially deprived areas in the city and nationally.
The Nursery provides care for children from birth to four years, offering day care from 7:45 am to 5.45 pm, 50 weeks of the year. Field of Dreams Day Nursery is registered with Ofsted and inspected regularly to ensure high standards of care and education.
Field of Dreams creates a warm, secure, loving and stimulating atmosphere which will enable your child to develop educationally socially physically emotionally and culturally, both as an individual and a member of the group.
