CAFOD
CAFOD are the official aid agency for the Catholic Church in England and Wales. With your help, they reach out to people living in hard-to-reach places, in war zones and those who are discriminated against.
CAFOD believe that if one of us is hurt, hungry or abandoned, we all are hurt, hungry and abandoned. No one should be beyond the love and support they need to live a dignified life.
CAFOD has enabled us to think collectively as a school and community on how we can contribute in different ways. By setting up clubs such as Rotary Club, Eco School, Church Craft Club and Collective Worship Committee, we have been able to give back in so many ways. In St Sebastian’s, we are committed to supporting Our Common Home as a whole school. We recently took part in Collective Worship with Miss Howell, based on Laudato Si’ which brought us together as part of God’s family. In Pope Francis’ letter, he asks us to care for the earth which is our common home which has been instrumental in our thinking as global citizens.
